📜 Rules used in this game
  • Roll a 6 to bring a piece out of your yard.
  • Landing on an opponent's piece (or a whole stack of them) sends it back to their yard — unless it's on a starred safe square.
  • Rolling a 6, capturing a piece, or getting a piece all the way home earns you another turn.
  • Two 6s in a row are fine — a third 6 in a row forfeits the rest of your turn.
  • Ranking mode: play continues until every seat finishes all 4 pieces, and everyone gets ranked. Classic mode: the game ends the instant one player finishes all 4 pieces.

How to Play Ludo

  1. Choose how many players and set each seat to Human or Computer.
  2. Roll a 6 to bring a piece out of your yard and onto the board.
  3. Roll the dice and move a highlighted piece the number of spaces shown.
  4. Land on an opponent's piece to send it back to their yard — unless it's on a starred safe square.
  5. Rolling a 6, capturing a piece, or reaching home all earn you another turn.
  6. Get all four of your pieces to the center to win. Three 6s in a row forfeits your turn.

FAQ

Can I play Ludo against the computer?

Yes. Set any seat to Computer during setup and choose Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty. You can play 1 human vs up to 3 computer opponents, or any other mix.

Can multiple people play on one device?

Yes. Set several seats to Human and pass the device around — each player takes their turn in order, exactly like a physical board.

What are the star squares for?

Star squares are safe squares. A piece sitting on one can't be captured by an opponent landing there, so it's a good spot to pause if you're being chased.

Is my progress saved?

Your game stats — games played, wins, win rate, streak, and best time — are saved in your browser's local storage and persist across visits. An in-progress game itself is not saved on refresh.
